Nets Rule Cam Thomas Out 3–4 Weeks With Left Hamstring Strain

The setback comes during his one-year audition before 2026 free agency.

Overview

  • Brooklyn announced a left hamstring strain with a reevaluation in approximately three to four weeks, and coach Jordi Fernández said he will miss at least that long.
  • Thomas said the issue is less severe than last season’s problems and added that he “dodged a bullet.”
  • He exited after about six minutes in the Nov. 5 game at Indiana after a step-back jumper and did not return.
  • Rookie Egor Demin started in his place as the Nets lost 125-107 to the Pistons, dropping to 1–8 overall and 0–5 at home.
  • Thomas strained the same left hamstring three times in 2024–25 and was limited to 25 games, and despite one report citing the right side the team specifies the left hamstring.
