Overview
- KNMI prolonged its code yellow advisory to Sunday at 12:00, after initially planning to end it on Saturday at 13:00.
- Snow, hail and occasional thundersnow are being reported, with about 6–7 centimeters measured near the Rijk van Nijmegen while nearby areas see far less.
- Inland zones such as Gelderland and the area around Gorinchem have the highest chance of sustained snow cover, whereas coastal districts stay milder due to the North Sea.
- Slippery roads and crowded parking areas are causing practical problems including vehicles needing a push to get moving, and road-gritting crews are out early.
- Forecasters expect fewer snow showers next week, though lingering snow could help drive nighttime lows to roughly -5 to -10 °C in parts of the Krimpenerwaard, Alblasserwaard and Hoeksche Waard.
