Overview

• Netflix released the final trailer on August 20 and confirmed the series will debut exclusively on the platform on September 10.
• The production adapts Jorge Ibargüengoitia’s 1977 novel across six episodes inspired by the Poquianchis case of the 1940s–60s.
• Paulina Gaitán and Arcelia Ramírez lead the cast, joined by Joaquín Cosío, Alfonso Herrera, Mauricio Isaac, Leticia Huijara, Enrique Arreola, Fernando Bonilla, Salvador Sánchez and Tenoch Huerta.
• Filming took place at Estudios Churubusco and on location in Veracruz, San Luis Potosí and Guanajuato.
• The story centers on the fictional sisters Arcángela and Serafina Baladro and uses Mexican black comedy to explore corruption, impunity and violence.
