• Netflix has confirmed it will add both classic and new US episodes of 'Sesame Street' to its platform, localized with German dubbing and subtitles.
• The streaming deal does not affect the long-standing production of the German 'Sesamstraße' by ARD/NDR, which has been in place for over 50 years.
• ARD/NDR's German version will continue to feature mostly original content produced locally, supplemented by classic US sketches.
