Netflix Splits Zack Snyder's Sci-Fi Epic 'Rebel Moon' Into Two Films To Accommodate Director's Vision

Zack Snyder refused to cut his space opera "Rebel Moon" down to under two hours, so Netflix decided to release it as two separate films.
Each of the "Rebel Moon" films will have two cuts: one suitable for all audiences and an explicit cut aimed at adults and Snyder fans.
"Rebel Moon" follows a group of outcasts and refugees who band together to fight an oppressive galactic empire.
Snyder built massive sets for "Rebel Moon," which has a star-studded ensemble cast and a budget of $166 million.
The first "Rebel Moon" film will premiere on Netflix on December 22, with the second film arriving shortly thereafter.
