• Netflix confirms the official title Monster: The Ed Gein Story and unveils first-look posters of Charlie Hunnam in character.
• All eight episodes will debut simultaneously on Oct. 3 as a full-season drop.
• Tom Hollander plays Alfred Hitchcock and Laurie Metcalf portrays Augusta Gein, with Suzanna Son, Vicky Krieps, Olivia Williams and Lesley Manville among the ensemble.
• Co-creators Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan serve as executive producers, Brennan writes and directs episodes, Max Winkler directs the remainder, and Hunnam is also credited as an executive producer.
• Set in 1950s Wisconsin, the story examines Gein’s crimes and the cultural legacy that helped inspire Psycho, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and The Silence of the Lambs.
