Overview
- Netflix announced the premiere date and released the official trailer and first-look photos on November 4, with the series arriving on Tuesday, December 1, 2026.
- Trinity is billed as a political and military conspiracy thriller centered on Commander Katherine Decker, a naval officer drawn into questions about Secretary of Defense Webb Preston after a near-mistaken submarine nuclear launch.
- The series stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Decker and Richard Madden as Webb Preston, with Jed Mercurio serving as creator, showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
- Production credits list 20th Television and HTM/Hat Trick partners, Michael Cuesta as pilot director, and a supporting cast that includes Marcia Gay Harden, Bruce Greenwood, JD Pardo, Robert Wisdom, Kirk Acevedo, James Remar, Jason Ralph, and Mark O’Brien.
- Coverage notes a small discrepancy about episode count—most outlets report eight episodes while at least one source says the season was reduced to seven—while publicity materials confirm the show's tone, stakes, and creative pedigree that follow Mercurio’s prior hits Bodyguard and Line of Duty.
