Netflix Debuts Milestone Movies Collection Celebrating Cinematic Anniversaries

The streaming giant will honor films turning 20 to 50 years old, starting with classics from 1974, and host special in-person screenings at select theaters.

Netflix has launched a new series called the Milestone Movies Collection, which will celebrate films turning 20 to 50 years old.
The first collection of 14 films, celebrating features from 1974 that are turning 50, includes classics such as 'Chinatown', 'Blazing Saddles', and 'Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore'.
In addition to streaming, Netflix will hold special in-person screenings of select films at the Paris Theatre in New York and the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, starting in March.
Future collections will celebrate movies from 1984, 1994, and 2004, to be released in April, July, and October respectively.
This move is seen as a unique step for Netflix, which has been criticized for its lack of Old Hollywood content.
