Netflix has announced that 'Squid Game' Season 3 will be the final installment of the globally popular series, with a release planned for 2025.
Season 3 was filmed back-to-back with Season 2, allowing for a faster production timeline compared to the three-year gap between the first two seasons.
Key returning cast members include Lee Jung-jae as Seong Gi-hun, Lee Byung-hun as The Front Man, and Wi Ha-joon as Detective Hwang Jun-ho, among others.
Season 2, released on December 26, 2024, introduced new games and characters while continuing Gi-hun's mission to dismantle the games from within.
Creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has stated that Season 3 will bring closure to Gi-hun's story and explore the darker themes hinted at in the second season's finale.
