Netflix Brings Party Games to TV, Turning Phones Into Controllers

The rollout signals a strategic pivot toward social, broad-appeal play to keep viewers engaged inside the Netflix app.

Overview

  • The first wave is live on TV: Boggle Party, Lego Party, Party Crashers: Fool Your Friends, Pictionary: Game Night and Tetris Time Warp.
  • Players join by scanning a QR code to use their phones as controllers, with no console or extra hardware required.
  • Availability is limited to selected countries and compatible TVs or streaming devices during the initial rollout.
  • Upcoming releases include Dead Man’s Party: A Knives Out Game on TV, plus mobile titles Red Dead Redemption with Undead Nightmare (scheduled for Dec. 2), WWE 2K25: Netflix Edition and the Netflix Puzzled daily hub.
  • Netflix also previewed Best Guess Live, a weekday real-time quiz hosted by Hunter March and Howie Mandel with U.S.-only cash prizes, as it refocuses on kids games, narrative IP, mainstream hits and party play.
