Overview

• Netflix said at Bloomberg Screentime that its games will be playable on televisions for the first time, expanding beyond mobile.
• The first slate features LEGO Party, Boggle Party, Pictionary: Game Night, Tetris Time Warp and Party Crashers, with most titles included with membership.
• Players launch games from the Netflix TV app on compatible smart TVs or devices like Roku or Fire TV and pair smartphones as controllers by scanning a QR code.
• Availability begins in select countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Spain, Mexico, France, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland, Finland, Germany, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
• Netflix says the games are “coming soon” with a holiday-season window, and it is adding cloud capacity as part of a push into social multiplayer experiences.
