- Netflix revealed the pairings for its first live sporting event, the 'Netflix Cup,' which will be held ahead of the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix. The eight-hole golf competition will consist of four pairs featuring a Formula 1 driver and a professional golfer.
- The Netflix Cup is set to start at 6 p.m. ET Tuesday in Las Vegas. The pairings are Lando Norris with Rickie Fowler, Carlos Sainz with Justin Thomas, Pierre Gasly with Collin Morikawa, and Alex Albon with Max Homa.
- The top two teams from the eight-hole match will advance to the final round. Golfers and drivers who reach the final round will compete in a winner-take-all showdown at the ninth hole.
- All participants have featured in Netflix's sports docuseries; the drivers in 'Drive to Survive' and the golfers in 'Full Swing.' The live event aims to further boost the fandom these series have brought to associated sports leagues and competitions.
- Netflix is charging sponsors $2 million for their names to be displayed along the course at the Wynn Golf Club. The competition will be live-streamed on Netflix and will be commercial-free.
