Netflix Announces Animated Witcher Film "Sirens of the Deep" for Late 2024, Doug Cockle to Voice Geralt of Rivia

Netflix has announced an animated Witcher film titled 'Sirens of the Deep', set to release in late 2024. The film is set between seasons 1 and 4 of the live-action series.
The animated film will adapt the Witcher short story 'A Little Sacrifice', which involves Geralt and Dandelion interacting with a mermaid on behalf of a smitten prince, and features a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople.
Doug Cockle, who voiced Geralt of Rivia in the Witcher video games, will be reprising his role in the animated film. Henry Cavill, who played Geralt in the live-action series until season 3, will not be returning for the film.
The film will also feature Christina Wren voicing Essi Daven, Dandelion’s bard rival from the original books. Other returning characters from the live-action series include Yennefer and Jaskier.
The animation for 'Sirens of the Deep' is being handled by Studio Mir, the animation studio behind 'Avatar: Legends of Korra'. The film is directed by Kang Hei Chul and written by Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin.
