Animated film set between seasons 1 and 4 of the live-action series, adapting the short story "A Little Sacrifice" and featuring a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople.

  • Netflix has announced an animated Witcher film titled 'Sirens of the Deep', set to release in late 2024. The film is set between seasons 1 and 4 of the live-action series.
  • The animated film will adapt the Witcher short story 'A Little Sacrifice', which involves Geralt and Dandelion interacting with a mermaid on behalf of a smitten prince, and features a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople.
  • Doug Cockle, who voiced Geralt of Rivia in the Witcher video games, will be reprising his role in the animated film. Henry Cavill, who played Geralt in the live-action series until season 3, will not be returning for the film.
  • The film will also feature Christina Wren voicing Essi Daven, Dandelion’s bard rival from the original books. Other returning characters from the live-action series include Yennefer and Jaskier.
  • The animation for 'Sirens of the Deep' is being handled by Studio Mir, the animation studio behind 'Avatar: Legends of Korra'. The film is directed by Kang Hei Chul and written by Mike Ostrowski and Rae Benjamin.
