Netflix Announces 2024 Release of "Ultraman Rising," First Fully Animated Feature by Industrial Light & Magic Since 2015

"Ultraman Rising" to Explore New Storyline Featuring Hero Ken Sato Raising the Offspring of His Nemesis; First Look Teaser Reveal Generates Excitement Among Fans

Industrial Light & Magic, the visual effects studio, is behind the animation of "Ultraman Rising", their first fully animated feature since 2015.
"Ultraman Rising" presents a new storyline in which the hero, Ken Sato, is faced with the task of raising the offspring of his greatest enemy.
The voice cast for "Ultraman Rising" includes Christopher Sean, Gedde Watanabe, Tamlyn Tomita, Keone Young, and Julia Harriman.
"Ultraman Rising" aims to reintroduce the Ultraman character to the West; it has generated more than $7.4 billion sales in Japan between 1966 and 1987.
Directed by Shannon Tindle and co-directed by John Aoshima, with a screenplay written by Tindle and Marc Haimes, the film is set to premiere on Netflix in 2024.
