Overview
- Fuel price adjustment for November will reduce January electricity bills by Rs0.93 per unit nationwide, including Karachi, with lifeline consumers excluded.
- The regulator has rebased the average base tariff for calendar year 2026 to Rs33.38 per unit, a Rs1.79 increase over the current Rs31.59, pending federal approval.
- NEPRA notes the 2026 average is 62 paisa lower than the July–December 2025 rate despite being higher than the existing base.
