Nepali Teen Sets Record as Youngest to Climb All 14 Highest Peaks

Nima Rinji Sherpa, 18, returns to Nepal after conquering the world's tallest mountains, highlighting the rising prominence of Sherpa climbers.

Nima Rinji Sherpa reached the summit of Mount Shishapangma in China, completing his record-breaking climbs of all 14 peaks over 8,000 meters.
The previous record for the youngest climber to achieve this feat was held by a 30-year-old Sherpa, Mingma Gyabu 'David' Sherpa, in 2019.
Sherpa comes from a renowned family in the mountaineering community, which operates the leading Seven Summits Treks company in Nepal.
His accomplishment is seen as a tribute to Sherpas, encouraging the younger generation to rise above traditional roles as support climbers.
The achievement was celebrated by cheering crowds in Kathmandu, with Nepal's Tourism Minister and fellow climbers welcoming him home.
