• Neon will release the supernatural horror Hokum theatrically in the United States in 2026 after boarding the project with Waypoint Entertainment’s Cweature Features.
• Neon International is handling foreign sales and will introduce the title to buyers at the Toronto International Film Festival next week.
• Now in postproduction following a shoot in Ireland, the film stars Adam Scott as reclusive novelist Ohm Bauman who encounters unsettling lore at a remote inn.
• The ensemble includes Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, Florence Ordesh, Will O’Connell, Michael Patric, Siox C, Brendan Conroy, Austin Amelio and Ezra Carlisle.
• Producers are Roy Lee and Steven Schneider for Spooky Pictures, Derek Dauchy for Image Nation and Ruth Treacy, Julianne Forde and Mairtín de Barra for Tailored Film, with executive producers including Ken Kao, Josh Rosenbaum, Ben Ross, Dan Kagan, Rami Yasin, Andrew Childs, Bryan Meng and Dr. Terence Chan; Screen Ireland provided co‑production support and the distribution deal was negotiated by Jason Wald (Neon), Rosenbaum (Cweature) and Ross (Image Nation).
