Neon Acquires North American Rights to Sean Baker's New Film 'Anora' for 2024 Release

'Anora' to be Sean Baker's Eighth Directorial and Writing Project, Featuring Mikey Madison and Mark Eydelshteyn Among Others, Currently in Post-Production Stage

• Neon has acquired the North American rights to 'Anora', a romantic dramedy directed and written by Sean Baker, with plans to release in 2024.
• Sean Baker, who has a track record of creating low-budget features examining the overlooked members of society, collaborated with Samantha Quan and Alex Coco to produce ‘Anora’.
• The film, which was shot in 35 mm by Drew Daniels and is currently in post-production, stars Mikey Madison, Mark Eydelshteyn, Yuriy Borisov, Karren Karagulian, and Vache Tovmasyan.
• While the plot of 'Anora' is still undisclosed, it was filmed in Brooklyn and is anticipated to build on Baker's reputation for producing critically acclaimed works such as 'Tangerine', 'The Florida Project', and 'Red Rocket'.
• The deal was negotiated by Neon’s VP of Acquisitions Jason Wald with FilmNation’s CEO Glen Basner, with FilmNation Entertainment handling the worldwide rights, and licensing rights internationally to various companies.
