Nene Leakes, former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, unveiled a heartfelt tribute video titled 'I'm Lost Without You' where she opened up about the final days of her late husband, Gregg Leakes.
Nene described how her life dramatically changed on September 1, 2021, when her husband Gregg, who had been fighting colon cancer since 2018, passed away.
Nene shared a haunting recollection from Gregg's last day, revealing that he looked and acted differently, was confused, and had difficulty breathing. Despite his preference to avoid medication, she authorized administering morphine to help him relax.
In the moments leading up to Gregg's passing, family and close friends gathered in their home to pray. Nene arranged for immediate collection of his body to ensure privacy before news sites found out.
After his passing, per Gregg's wish not to be buried or have a funeral, Nene held a celebration of life ceremony at her Linnethia Lounge in Atlanta to honor his memory, which was attended by many former co-stars from Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Nene, who had been married to Gregg for 27 years, publicly confirmed that she isn't ready to find new love, saying 'You told me ‘you’ll find another love one day.’ But I don’t want to find another love, oh my God. It’s not that way, I love you Gregg. I love you, I miss you.'
