NEET PG 2026 Set for Sunday as NBEMS Issues Final Admit Rules

Tight ID checks and CCTV-monitored security are in place to protect exam integrity and ensure fair access to postgraduate medical seats.

Overview

  • The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences confirmed the NEET PG exam will be held on Sunday, August 30, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm in a single shift.
  • Entry to centres opens at 7:00 am, closes at 8:30 am, candidate login begins at 8:45 am and the instruction window opens at 8:50 am, so candidates must arrive well before the closing time.
  • Candidates must download their admit cards from nbe.edu.in and bring the admit card, a valid photo ID and their Medical Council registration certificate (MCI or respective State Medical Council) to gain entry.
  • NBEMS bans pens, paper, electronic devices, watches, jewellery, wallets, belts and food inside centres and issues simple dress guidelines to speed checks and reduce delays.
  • Authorities plan extensive security including CCTV, frisking, biometric checks, signal jammers and central monitoring for more than 2,73,000 registered candidates across about 1,300 centres, with results and the internship-eligibility cut-off scheduled for September 30, 2026.
