NEET-PG 2025 Postponed After Supreme Court Mandates Single-Shift Format; NBEMS Seeks August 3 Reschedule

By expanding test centres to meet the court’s transparency requirement, NBEMS has applied for an August 3 date.

Overview

  • The Supreme Court’s May 30 order required NEET-PG 2025 to be conducted in a single session to eliminate disparities in question difficulty.
  • NBEMS on June 2 officially postponed the exam originally set for June 15, delaying the release of city intimation slips and admit cards.
  • On June 3 NBEMS filed a petition with the Supreme Court requesting approval to hold the rescheduled exam on August 3 while upgrading centre capacity and infrastructure.
  • The computer-based test will feature 200 multiple-choice questions over 210 minutes for more than 242,000 registered candidates.
  • Following the exam, the Medical Counselling Committee will oversee admission counselling for 50% of All India Quota seats.
