Nebraska Volleyball Seniors Honored in Emotional Farewell After Record-Breaking Victory

The Huskers celebrated five seniors on Senior Night following a dominant sweep over Wisconsin, setting multiple records in the process.

Nebraska Volleyball defeated Wisconsin in straight sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-17) in front of 9,009 fans at the Bob Devaney Sports Center on Senior Night.
The team honored five seniors—Lexi Rodriguez, Kennedi Orr, Leyla Blackwell, Merritt Beason, and Lindsay Krause—during their final regular-season home game with tributes and framed jerseys.
The victory marked Nebraska’s 41st consecutive home win and their first season sweep over Wisconsin since 2012, avenging losses to the Badgers in 2022.
Merritt Beason led the team with 11 kills, while Lexi Rodriguez recorded a match-high 16 digs, showcasing their contributions in their farewell performance.
The night was filled with emotional tributes from teammates, including heartfelt social media posts and personalized gifts, highlighting the seniors’ impact on and off the court.
