Overview
- Elizabeth “Jamie” Love, 36, and Jarid “Jack” Krause were arrested Oct. 24 in Holdrege and each charged with sex trafficking of a minor, with Love also charged with sexual grooming by a school employee.
- Both are held at the Phelps County Jail on $250,000 cash bonds as the case moves forward, with initial court appearances scheduled for Oct. 27.
- The investigation began after a 16-year-old student instructed by Love through ESU-11 reported inappropriate interactions, according to police.
- An arrest affidavit alleges an August phone call in which Krause discussed sex and Love told the student she "would be willing to share" him, followed by an Oct. 11 visit to Love’s home where Krause allegedly made a sexual request the student declined.
- Investigators cite surveillance video, phone and text records showing Love following and later driving the student home, apologizing, urging secrecy and giving her $100, while messages between Love and Krause dating to April referenced a "code phrase," "finding our person" and even foster care; ESU-11 placed Love on leave and police request tips.
