Gen Z adults are the most common recipients of financial support, but millennials and Gen X are also receiving help.
The trend has led to 61% of adult children living at home not contributing to household expenses.
Parents are sacrificing their financial security, with some delaying retirement and spending 2.4 times more on their adult children than on their own retirement savings.
