• ANTF and East Jaintia Hills district police intercepted a car at Umkiang patrol post on a tip-off on Sunday.
• They found 961.33 grams of heroin concealed in 80 soap boxes inside travel bags, valued at about Rs 4–4.4 crore.
• Police arrested three women—Kimnei, Dimkhothing and Ngaiting—all residents of Khongjom in Manipur, and booked them under the NDPS Act.
• A separate naka check at Byndihati village led to the seizure of 91.86 grams of heroin and the arrest of Isak L. Joute the same day.
