NDSU Presidential Finalists Hold Campus Forums This Week

Overview

• Three finalists visit NDSU this week for 2 p.m. public forums in the Memorial Union’s Anishinaabe Theater.
• The one-hour format pairs a 20-minute talk and audience Q&A with a 30-minute meet-and-greet, with Zoom access and posted recordings for people off campus.
• Candidates will also meet students, faculty, staff, alumni, and local leaders during the visits, and the committee will gather feedback from these groups.
• The finalists are Dr. Marshall Stewart of Kansas State University, Dr. Bernie Savarese of the University of Tennessee, and Dr. Alan Smith of Utah State University.
• The committee plans recommendations March 27, the State Board holds final interviews March 30 with a same-day selection and public introduction, and the new president is expected to start by early June.
