• Berthelette lives in Brandon’s North Hill and has worked in corrections, real estate and as an executive assistant to MLA Glen Simard
• Progressive Conservatives have nominated Colleen Robbins and Liberals are running teacher Stephen Reid in the same contest
• The Spruce Woods seat has been vacant since March when former PC MLA Grant Jackson won a federal seat
• Premier Wab Kinew has not yet set an official date for the by-election
