Overview

  • The campaign runs from August 1 to 31 and builds on NDMC’s May Mega Sanitation Drive and July’s ‘Freedom from Garbage’ initiative.
  • Health and Civil Engineering departments will lead plogging events in JJ clusters and religious sites while deep-cleaning lakes, restoring monuments and beautifying flyovers.
  • About 28,000 students in NDMC schools will adopt public spaces under the ‘Each One Clean One’ scheme for clean campus drives and litter-collection runs.
  • The IT Department will boost visibility through social media as radio, print and LED displays promote hygiene messages and strict grievance redressal targets aim to clear all public complaints.
  • NDMC will honor sanitation workers, top-performing schools and green champions as ‘Swachhta Heroes’ and observe International Youth Day with patriotic screenings on August 13 and 14.
