- The India Today–CVoter Mood of the Nation survey, published Aug. 27, 2026, projects the BJP-led NDA would win 326 of 543 Lok Sabha seats if elections were held today.
- The BJP alone is forecast at 261 seats, down from 287 in the January MOTN poll, showing a measurable drop in the party’s standalone strength.
- Uttar Pradesh has swung toward the INDIA bloc in the August projection, with INDIA on 41 of the state's 80 seats and the NDA on 38, a shift that matters because the state strongly influences national arithmetic.
