• On August 5, the NDA parliamentary party met for the first time in over a year and unanimously felicitated Prime Minister Modi for directing Operations Sindoor and Mahadev in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
• Lawmakers passed a resolution praising Modi’s “unwavering resolve, visionary statesmanship and resolute command” along with the armed forces’ “unmatched courage and unwavering commitment.”
• The party offered condolences to the 26 civilians killed in the Pahalgam attack and underscored national unity against terrorism.
• Modi accused the Opposition of a “mistake” that amounted to “self-harm” by demanding a parliamentary debate on Operation Sindoor.
• Following Operation Sindoor, 59 MPs were dispatched to 32 countries in one of India’s largest diplomatic outreach efforts to articulate its anti-terror stance globally.
