Overview
- Candidates must apply online at ncert.nic.in, with details and prospectus available on the portal.
- The programme runs in three phases: distance learning from January to June 2026, a face-to-face contact programme from July to September, and a local internship from October to December.
- Eligibility targets teachers, teacher educators, school heads and untrained guidance personnel, with preference for relevant postgraduates holding at least 50% marks and one year of experience, plus 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
- Fees are Rs 19,500 for central government-deputed candidates, Rs 6,000 for state/UT-deputed candidates, and Rs 30,000 for private candidates, and participants cover their own board and lodging during contact sessions.
- Study centres include DEPFE, NCERT New Delhi and RIEs at Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru and Shillong, each with a maximum intake of 50, and selection involves screening, an essay and an interview with required self-attested documents.
