NCERT Launches Bal Vatika Channel, DIKSHA 2.0 and PRASHAST 2.0 on 65th Foundation Day

The rollout advances NEP 2020 priorities through AI-enabled, multilingual, inclusive tools endorsed by the education minister.

Overview

  • DIKSHA 2.0 debuts with structured lessons, adaptive assessments, performance feedback, Read Aloud, closed captions and multilingual text translation across 12 languages.
  • Bal Vatika on PM eVidya DTH Channel 35 targets ages 3–6 with audio‑visual content designed for teachers, Anganwadi workers and parents to strengthen foundational literacy and numeracy.
  • PRASHAST 2.0 introduces early screening for children with disabilities integrated with UDISE+, APAAR and the Swavlamban Card for linked support.
  • A new PM eVidya mobile app serves as a centralized gateway for digital learning, alongside Virtual Reality labs set up at demonstration schools in Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar and Mysuru.
  • NCERT announced accessible textbooks under the Kitab Ek Padhe Anek initiative, released primers in Hindi, Sanskrit, Ho‑Hindi and Koya, published a volume on 100 Odisha luminaries and PSSCIVE issued a vocational education handbook.
