NCC, NIELIT Launch Two-Stage Cybersecurity Training for Cadets

• An MoU announced Monday between the National Cadet Corps and NIELIT launches a national cyber security programme for cadets.
• The first stage offers a 15-hour online course on digital literacy, safe internet use, cyber hygiene, and common threats through NIELIT Digital University for all enrolled cadets.
• The second stage provides 60 hours of offline instruction for merit-screened cadets using real-life simulations and practical security tools.
• The plan seeks to build a pool of “NCC cyber cadets” who will spread awareness, promote safe practices, and support local cyber defence efforts.
• Officials say the programme aligns with Digital India and NSQF standards and will draw scale from the NCC’s large enrolment base reported at 15.58 lakh in 2025.
