NCB Seizes ₹200 Crore Drugs in Mumbai, Dismantles International Syndicate

The operation uncovered links to global drug networks, leading to the arrest of four individuals and the seizure of high-grade cocaine, hydroponic weed, and cannabis gummies.

  • The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Mumbai unit seized drugs worth ₹200 crore, including 11.54 kg of high-grade cocaine, 4.9 kg of hydroponic weed, and 5.5 kg of cannabis gummies.
  • Four individuals were arrested in connection with the international drug trafficking syndicate, which operated using code words and pseudonyms to avoid detection.
  • The drugs were sourced from the United States and intended for distribution in India and abroad, including Australia, through couriers and human carriers.
  • The bust was initiated after intelligence from a smaller seizure of 200 grams of cocaine in January 2025, leading investigators to a hideout in Navi Mumbai.
  • Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised the operation as a significant step toward achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a drug-free India.
