NCB Dismantles ‘Ketamelon’ Darknet Syndicate, Seizes LSD, Ketamine and ₹70 Lakh in Crypto

Authorities arrested two suspects; investigators are now tracing crypto wallets to UK suppliers after last week’s parcel interceptions and raids

Overview

  • NCB’s Cochin unit intercepted three postal parcels on June 28 containing 280 LSD blots and raided the vendor’s home on June 29 following weeks of intelligence gathering.
  • Agents recovered a total of 1,127 LSD blots, 131.66 grams of ketamine, a hardware wallet holding ₹70 lakh in USDT, multiple crypto wallets, hard disks and a bootable KITES OS.
  • Two individuals linked to the ‘Ketamelon’ network, including the suspected vendor Edison, are in custody and under further investigation.
  • Investigators have identified custodial wallets on platforms such as Binance and are mapping cross-border supply chains to UK-based vendor Gunga Din.
  • ‘Ketamelon’ was India’s only Level 4 darknet drug vendor over the past two years, believed to have delivered about 600 shipments of LSD nationwide.
