NCAA Approves Rule Changes Aimed at Improving College Football Pace of Play

NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel approved three new rules for 2023 college football season.
Changes aimed to improve pace of play and reduce total plays per game.
After first downs clock will continue running except in last two minutes of each half.
Teams banned from calling consecutive timeouts and fouls at end of quarters will carry over.
The changes expected to shorten games by about 15 minutes and reduce plays by 7 to 10 per game.
