  • Changes aimed to improve pace of play and reduce total plays per game.
  • After first downs clock will continue running except in last two minutes of each half.
  • Teams banned from calling consecutive timeouts and fouls at end of quarters will carry over.
  • The changes expected to shorten games by about 15 minutes and reduce plays by 7 to 10 per game.
