NBEMS Lowers NEET SS Qualifying Percentile; MCC Reschedules Stray Vacancy Counselling

All candidates holding MD, MS or DNB degrees can provisionally participate in the stray vacancy round pending eligibility checks under a July 10 MoHFW directive.

Overview

  • NBEMS reduced the cutoff percentile for NEET SS 2024 stray vacancies to include all candidates with valid broad speciality degrees.
  • The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare’s letter No. U.12021/09/2025-MEC formally approved the expanded participation to fill super-specialty seats.
  • Candidature remains provisional and is subject to meeting criteria in the NEET-SS 2024 information bulletin and completing Face ID/biometric verification.
  • The Medical Counselling Committee delayed the stray round due to a scheduling overlap with Tamil Nadu’s Round 2 in-service counselling.
  • The MCC confirmed that candidates resigning after INI-SS seat allocation will forfeit their security deposits.
