NBA Unveils 2025–26 Broadcast Slate Featuring NBC Return, Prime Video Exclusives and NBA Cup Calendar

These announcements set the tone for a multiplatform season rollout aligning NBC/Peacock openers with Prime Video exclusives plus the NBA Cup’s national broadcast assignments before the full slate is published

  • The season will tip off Oct. 21 on NBC and Peacock with Oklahoma City vs. Houston at 7:30 p.m. ET followed by Lakers vs. Warriors at 10 p.m. ET
  • NBC’s reinstatement as a national rights holder brings NBA games back to the network for the first time since 2002 and includes a Martin Luther King Jr. Day quadrupleheader on Jan. 19, 2026
  • Amazon Prime Video will launch its exclusive NBA coverage on Oct. 24 with back-to-back doubleheaders featuring Celtics-Knicks at 7:30 p.m. ET and Timberwolves-Lakers at 10 p.m. ET
  • The Emirates NBA Cup group stage runs Oct. 31–Nov. 28 with designated ‘Cup Nights’ on Fridays plus Nov. 25–26, and national windows span Prime Video (17 games), NBC/Peacock, ESPN and NBA League Pass
  • Knockout rounds are set for Dec. 9–16—quarterfinals at higher-seeded arenas and semifinals/final in Las Vegas—all airing on Prime Video while the full 82-game schedule is finalized
