Overview

  • The 2025-26 regular season will feature 247 nationally televised games across ABC, ESPN, NBC, Peacock and Amazon, up from 172 last year.
  • NBC/Peacock and Amazon Prime Video join ESPN and ABC as national partners, replacing TNT in a five-network media deal.
  • New scheduling rules guarantee no team plays the day before opening-week national games, Emirates NBA Cup matchups, Christmas Day, MLK Day Peacock/NBC windows and specified ABC and NBC blocks.
  • Opening Night on Oct. 21 is headlined by the Thunder raising their championship banner against Kevin Durant’s Rockets, followed by a Lakers-Warriors showcase.
  • Group play dates and matchups for the Emirates NBA Cup are fully embedded in the regular-season slate, with knockout rounds set for December in Las Vegas.
