NBA, Topps Launch Rookie Debut and Gold Logoman Patch Program for 2025–26

Topps returns as the NBA’s exclusive card licensee using CGC to authenticate game-worn patches for one-of-one autographed cards.

Overview

  • Every rookie will wear a Debut Patch in his first regular-season game starting next week, with the patch removed postgame and turned into a one-of-one, on-card–autographed rookie card.
  • The 2024–25 award winners—MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle, and Defensive Player of the Year Evan Mobley—will wear a Gold NBA Logoman patch that will be used in limited trading cards.
  • Fanatics/Topps confirmed the patches will be taken directly from game-worn jerseys and authenticated through a partnership with Certified Guaranty Company (CGC).
  • Topps is now the NBA’s official and exclusive trading-card partner, marking its first licensed NBA card program since the 2009–10 season.
  • The league and Topps have not released full product timing or distribution details, with some outlets reporting pack insertion for these cards could begin in 2026.
