Dallas Mavericks player Luka Doncic has promised to pay for funeral expenses and counseling for those affected by a mass shooting at an elementary school in Belgrade, Serbia.
Doncic has extended family living in Belgrade and considers it a second home.
Doncic announced he will work with other NBA players with Balkan roots to provide both short-term and long-term assistance to victims and their loved ones.
Doncic said he is devastated by the tragedy and is exploring ways for his foundation to offer support.
The shooting at the Belgrade school left several students and faculty dead.
