NBA Sets Celtics’ Post–Cup Slate: Dec. 11 at Bucks, Dec. 15 vs. Pistons

Overview

  • After going 2-2 in NBA Cup group play and missing the knockouts, Boston was assigned two regular-season opponents from the East that were also eliminated.
  • The added games are a visit to Milwaukee on Thursday, Dec. 11 (8 p.m. ET) and a home date with Detroit on Monday, Dec. 15 (7 p.m.).
  • Boston enters the stretch after upsetting the 15-4 Pistons, who had won 13 straight before Wednesday’s loss.
  • Milwaukee has struggled to an 8-12 start, but Giannis Antetokounmpo returned Friday after missing four games with a groin injury.
