The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will debut a four-team mini-tournament format, replacing the traditional single-game structure.
Three teams of All-Stars were drafted by TNT analysts Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith, with a fourth team comprising Rising Stars Challenge winners.
Games will be played to a target score of 40 points, with the two winning teams advancing to a championship matchup.
Players on the championship-winning team will each earn $125,000, while other participants will receive smaller payouts based on their final standings.
The All-Star weekend, held at the Chase Center in San Francisco, also includes traditional events like the slam dunk contest, 3-point contest, and skills competition.
