NBA Overhauls 2026 All-Star: U.S. vs. World Round-Robin at Intuit Dome

The league aims to revive interest with a nationality-driven tournament following last year's ratings slide.

Overview

  • The Feb. 15, 2026 showcase will be staged at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood and air on NBC and Peacock.
  • Two U.S. teams and one World team will play a three-team round-robin of four 12-minute games, with a final between the top two records and point differential as the tiebreaker.
  • All 24 All-Stars will be selected with the traditional vote split—fans 50%, players 25%, media 25%—and coaches will choose the reserves.
  • Rosters will be positionless with a minimum of eight players per team, and Commissioner Adam Silver can add players to ensure at least 16 U.S. and 8 international selections.
  • The NBA has not yet determined how the 16 U.S. players will be allocated between the two American squads.
