The incident occurred after the Timberwolves' 107-90 road win against the Golden State Warriors, where Edwards scored 30 points on 11-of-18 shooting.
This marks the second time this season Edwards has been fined by the NBA for his conduct.
Edwards is currently averaging a career-best 26.4 points, along with 5.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists, in 23 games this season.
The Timberwolves, coming off a Western Conference Finals appearance last season, have started their current campaign with a 12-11 record.
