Anthony Edwards was fined $35,000 by the NBA for making an obscene gesture towards fans during a game against the Sacramento Kings.
The incident took place with 3:15 remaining in the first quarter of Minnesota's 130-126 overtime victory.
This is Edwards' second fine this year, having previously been fined $40,000 for criticizing officiating.
Despite the fine, Edwards led his team with 36 points, overcoming a record 60-point performance by Kings' De'Aaron Fox.
The Timberwolves improved their season record to 7-6 with the win, as Edwards continues to be a key player for the team.
