NBA Announces Format for New In-Season Tournament Featuring All 30 Teams

The NBA's new in-season tournament, called the NBA Cup, will begin in November and culminate in a championship game in Las Vegas on December 9.
The 30 NBA teams have been divided into six groups to play four group-stage games, with the group winners advancing to the knockout rounds along with two wild-card teams.
Players on the tournament's winning team will receive $500,000 each, while losing quarterfinalists will get $50,000 each.
The tournament aims to add excitement to the regular season, create new television opportunities, and build a new legacy for teams and players.
The NBA is open to making changes to the tournament format in future years based on feedback.
