Navsari Launches Rs 112-Crore Water and Drainage Overhaul for Newly Merged Villages

Officials say phased works have begun to fix long-standing shortages, extending underground sewage to over 25,000 residents.

Navsari Municipal Corporation approved and rolled out the integrated project on January 16, targeting persistent water and sanitation gaps.
The first phase focuses on drainage and water supply in Eru (Aru), Dharagiri, Dantej, and Hansapore (Hansapor), with work reported on schedule.
The plan includes new water and drainage pipelines, overhead tanks, underground sumps, pumping stations, a sewage treatment plant, and a new water treatment plant.
More than 25,000 residents in the peri-urban areas are expected to gain reliable drinking water access alongside a modern underground sewage network.
The corporation also outlined upgrades to roads, street lighting, gardens, ponds, a civic centre, and dustbin distribution in the integrated zones.
