Navroop Singh Sentenced to Life for West London Park Sex Offences

  • Navroop Singh, 24, received a life sentence with a minimum term of 14 years on July 4 following a four-day trial at Isleworth Crown Court.
  • His convictions include rape and assault by penetration of a child under 13, attempted rape of a woman in Southall Park under threat of an imitation firearm and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
  • Detectives from the Metropolitan Police linked offences at Southall Park on October 13, 2024, and Hayes End Park on October 23, 2024, using hours of CCTV footage, forensic analysis and witness testimony.
  • Acting Chief Superintendent Sean Lynch commended the victims’ bravery and praised the meticulous investigation while specialist officers supported victims throughout the probe and court process.
  • The Metropolitan Police have reinforced specialist teams to tackle violence against women and girls and boosted community patrols to deter similar attacks.
