Overview
- Akasa Air opened bookings from NMIA to Delhi, Goa (Mopa), Kochi and Ahmedabad, with the maiden Delhi–Navi Mumbai flight scheduled to land at 8:10 a.m. on Dec. 25 and a return at 8:50 a.m.
- Regular Delhi services begin Dec. 26 with morning arrivals at 8:50 a.m. and departures at 10:55 a.m.; Goa flights run daily except Wednesday; Kochi starts Dec. 26 on Fridays and Saturdays and expands from Dec. 28 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays; Ahmedabad launches Dec. 31 on Wednesdays only.
- IndiGo said it will start operations on Dec. 25, initially connecting NMIA to ten cities including Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, North Goa (Mopa), Jaipur, Nagpur, Kochi and Mangaluru.
- Air India Express and the Air India group announced plans to commence services from NMIA and to ramp up toward about 55 daily departures by mid-2026, including up to five daily international flights.
- Developed by Adani Airports with CIDCO, the airport’s first phase features a single runway, a terminal with 21 contact gates and integrated road, metro and suburban rail links.
